Bertrand Baguette will replace Peter Kox at Belgian Audi Team WRT for next weekend’s Total 24 Hours of Spa, the blue riband event of the Blancpain GT Series.

It was confirmed earlier this week that Kox would would no longer be available to drive for the Belgian Audi squad, as the the 52-year old Dutch ace allegedly had a conflict-of-interest with Acura/Honda.

Kox is among several high-profile drivers that are poised to be part of the Acura NSX GT3 race program in North America

Baguette, who ironically drives a Honda NSX in Super GT, will team up with fellow countryman Adrien De Leener and Pierre Kaffer in the No. 4 WRT Audi R8 LMS.

The No. 4 car already had its fair share of bad luck this season and most recently didn’t even make it past the first lap in the Paul Ricard 1000km after being hit by another competitor.

Baguette is no stranger to the race, with the 2013 FIA WEC LMP2 champion having competed at the event in 2012 and 2013 with an Aston Martin V12 Vantage GT3 entered by GPR Racing.

The addition of Baguette brings the total number of Belgian drivers in the event up to 15.
