The FIA International Court of Appeal has overturned the decision to exclude the race-winning GRT Grasser Racing Team Lamborghini Huracán GT3 from the Blancpain Endurance Series season opener at Monza.

Back in April race winners Jeroen Mul, Fabio Babini and Andrew Palmer and the No. 19 Lamborghini Huracán GT3 were excluded from the results for a breach of Article 257 A Appendix J 6.1.4 (non-conformity of a refueling restrictor).

As a result, the new Huracán GT3 lost its debut race win, but the Austrian team immediately appealed the decision of the stewards of the meeting.

Following an unsuccessful appeal before the Belgian National Court of Appeal in May, the Austrian National Sporting Authority, on behalf of Grasser, decided to appeal this decision before the FIA International Court of Appeal.

After a hearing on July 28th in Paris, the International Court of Appeal declared the appeal admissible and set aside the decisions by the RACB Court of Appeal and the Monza stewards.

Grasser Racing Team announced the news on Thursday night through social media. Official statements by the team and Blancpain Endurance Series organizers SRO is expected at a later time.
