Filip Salaquarda is the latest driver to join the Baku World Challenge grid, as the Czech driver will team up with McLaren factory driver Alvaro Parente in the No. 61 Bhaitech Mclaren.

Salaquarda replaces Estonian Sten Pentus, who competed for the Italian team in the Blancpain Sprint Series up until now.

Giorgio Pantano and Fabio Onidi will again compete behind the wheel of the No. 60 car. The Italian duo scored the team’s best result of the season with sixth place in the Zolder Main Race two weeks ago.

Meanwhile, Yelmer Buurman won’t be making his second appearance in the series as previously announced. Instead his seat on the Fortec Mercedes will be taken by season regular Miguel Toril.

The No. 63 Mercedes therefore moves back to the Silver Cup, which sees a season high entry of six cars in Azerbaijan.
