Dutch drivers Max van Splunteren and Jeroen Mul will share the wheel of a Lamborghini Huracán GT3 in the Blancpain GT Series this season, having been confirmed by Lamborghini Leusden today.

The Dutch Lamborghini, which was revealed at the opening of Lamborghini Leusden, will be run by Attempto Racing and will compete in the full Blancpain GT Series.

Mul, who raced for Grasser Racing Team in the Blancpain Endurance Series and Blancpain Sprint Series last season, will continue to be part of Lamborghini’s factory driver lineup.

He made his Lamborghini debut in 2014, driving for the Leipert-run Automobili Lamborghini Team Germany in Super Trofeo. Teammate van Splunteren drove for Bentley Team HTP in four Blancpain GT Series weekends in 2015.

The two drivers will race together in the Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup Pro-Am category, where they will race the Attempto-run car with a third, yet to be announced driver.

Van Splunteren will combine his Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup duties with a season in the Blancpain GT Series Sprint Cup.

2012 GP2 Series champion Davide Valsecchi will join Van Splunteren in the Sprint Series Pro Cup this season.

Mul will announce the rest of his 2016 program at a later date, although it is expected he will compete in the Italian GT Championship with Mirko Bortolotti.
