After campaigning an Oreca 03 Nissan for the last three years, Thriet by TDS Racing announced Friday that it will switch to OnRoak Automotive-designed chassis for the upcoming European Le Mans Series season.

The French squad, which won the 2012 ELMS LMP2 title and finished runner-up in last year’s championship, confirmed a new partnership with the Le Mans-based constructor, which scored a 1-2 finish at Le Mans and won the FIA World Endurance Championship.

“I’m very happy that the results of our chassis in motor sport have convinced a team like Thiriet by TDS Racing to buy one from Onroak Automotive,” said Onroak Automotive President Jacques Nicolet.

“It gives me great satisfaction and we’re very proud to be a part of this new adventure with them. I’m sure that we’ll continue to harvest victories on all kinds of circuits.”

TDS has not specified which OnRoak-developed chassis they will utilize. While the Morgan LMP2 is readily available to customers, the build of its new closed-top Ligier prototype continues, with a scheduled debut for the Six Hours of Spa FIA WEC race in May.

It’s unclear whether OnRoak’s new partnership with TDS could result in an earlier debut. The ELMS season kicks off at Silverstone on April 19, the same weekend as the first round of the FIA WEC at the English circuit.

Pierre Thiriet and Ludovic Badey are the two confirmed drivers for the TDS effort, with an entry request having also been submitted for the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

The team plans to release further details of their program in the coming weeks.
