A total of 54 cars have been entered already for the second round of the 2015 24H Series at the Autodromo Internazionale del Mugello.

Series organizers Creventic announced today that 2014 24 Hours of Dubai winners Stadler Motorsport will enter its Porsche 997 GT3 R, while German squad Leipert Motorsport will join with their Lamborghini Gallardo FL2 GT3.

ENTRY LIST: 12H Italy-Mugello

Six of the 10 GT3 cars currently entered for the Italian race are Mercedes SLS AMG GT3s, with Car Collection Motorsport and Hofor-Racing bringing two cars each. GDL Racing and Ram Racing will also enter a Mercedes at Mugello.

KPM Racing and Scuderia Praha, third and fourth in the A6-Pro overall standings after Dubai, are set to compete in Italy with their Aston Martin Vantage and Ferrari 458 Italia.

The 997 class currently features 13 Porsche entries, while eight cars entered in the SP3 category for GT4 cars.

The second running of the 12H Italy-Mugello will take place in March, ahead of the start of the European season. Last year’s edition had 36 entries.

“For this year, we managed to avoid a date clash with other series, so we can have some drivers who will take part in all events. Our race in Mugello is an ideal opportunity for teams to get some competitive mileage in before most of the European endurance racing series start,” Creventic’s Gerrie Willems said last week.

“The fact that we have over 40 entries at this time already, with a good mix of GT and touring cars, clearly reflects the interest in the event and the international series. We really are looking forward to another great event!”

The race will be split up into two parts, with a four-hour race on Friday afternoon and the remainder on Saturday.
