The No. 30 RAM Racing Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3 leads the Hankook 12H Zandvoort after the first three hours on a wet Circuit Park Zandvoort.

Tom Onslow-Cole took the lead from GDL Racing’s Ivo Breukers with just over 20 minutes remaining, quickly leaving the Dutchman behind.

After 84 laps Onslow-Cole crossed the line 1 minute and 24 seconds clear of the No. 2 HP Racing Mercedes of Bernd Schneider, who also managed to pass Breukers in the final minutes of the race.

The pole-sitting No. 10 Hofor Racing Mercedes led part of the race after a strong stint of Dutchman Christiaan Frankenhout, but eventually finished in third place, with Kenneth Heyer passing Breukers in the last minute of the race.

Breukers crossed the line in fourth place, but it was teammate Tom Coronel who was the star in the No. 67 GDL Racing Mercedes. The WTCC driver stayed out on slicks when everyone else pitted for wets just minutes into the race. He continued for 16 laps, before switching to wets as conditions worsened.

The No. 7 HB Racing Team Herberth Porsche 997 GT3 R finished the three-hour first part in fifth place, ahead of the No. 4 Scuderia Praha Ferrari 458 Italia.

MRS GT Racing finished in seventh place overall, leading the 997 class at the break. The No. 20 Porsche 991 Cup briefly led the race, as Xavier Maassen opted to stay out on slicks.

The first part of the 12H Zandvoort saw one Code 60, after the No. 102 Zest Racecar Engineering Seat Leon Supercopa went off in treacherous conditions. Several drivers were caught out in the rain, but rejoined after a trip through the gravel.

The 12H Zandvoort will get underway again tomorrow at 8:43 a.m. local for the remaining nine hours of racing.
