The battle for Class C honors in the 2017 Liqui-Moly Bathurst 12 Hour is looming to be one of the stories of the race, following the addition of two further entries to the GT4 class this week.

Meanwhile, additional GT3 entries have added even further depth to what is shaping as easily the most competitive Bathurst 12 Hour yet.

With entries now officially closed, 61 cars feature on the entry list – a second Porsche 911 GT3 R entry from Walkinshaw GT3 and a third BMW M6 GT3, entered by German team Walkenhorst Motorsport, adding more power to the outright fight.

Heretic Autosport has also entered their Bentley Continental GT3, joining the two Bentley Team M-Sport cars confirmed earlier this month.

Walkenhorst Motorsport are regulars in the Nurburgring-based VLN series and upgraded to the BMW M6 GT3 from their existing Z4 this year.

The addition of a pair of Ginetta G55 GT4 entries from RA Motorsport add to the now eight-strong Class C grid.

RA Motorsport is a Sydney-based operation that is the New South Wales distributor of Radical Sports Cars, based at Sydney Motorsport Park.

The Radical Australia Cup will be one of the key support categories on the Liqui-Moly Bathurst 12 hour program, RA Motorsport preparing several cars entered in that field alongside their new 12-hour entries.

The hugely diverse GT4 class now includes five different brands and both local and international teams.

Meanwhile, the addition of a current-specification Porsche GT3 Cup Car entered by Steven Richards Motorsport adds to the competitive fight in Class B.

37 cars feature in the outright class for GT3 cars, four in Class B, nine in Class C (GT4) and 12 in the Invitational class, with 16 different brands now represented.

The final entry list is subject to change with several pending entries yet to formally complete the entry process.
