Davison Docked All Win Points Following Post-Race Tech

Saturday Barber Pirelli World Challenge race winner James Davison has been docked all win points following post-race tech inspection.

Davison’s No. 33 AE Nissan GT Academy Nissan GT-R NISMO GT3 was found out of compliance, and the driver and manufacturer lost all points and laptimes. Davison retains the seven points for scoring the pole position. He will start from the back of the field for Sunday’s Round 7.

Three others were penalized. Michael Lewis (No. 41 EFFORT Racing Porsche 911 GT3 R) was fined $2,000 and lost 30 driver points, GT Cup presented by MOMO class winner Colin Thompson (No. 11 Kelly-Moss Motorsports Porsche 911 GT3 Cup) lost 40 driver points, and Christina Nielsen (No. 7 TRG-AMR Aston Martin V12 Vantage GT3) was fined $1,000 and lost 30 driver points.

Lewis, Thompson and Nielsen have all been placed on probation through Round 9 at Canadian Tire Motorsports Park.
