Matt Bell topped the time charts in the opening day of official track action at Sebring International Raceway in preparation for tomorrow’s Michelin IMSA SportsCar Encore.

Bell took the No. 26 K2R Motorsports Ligier JS P3 Nissan to a quick lap of 1:58.579 in Saturday’s third and final practice session to end up quickest of the day.

The Englishman in the AERO-sponsored Ligier was 0.833 seconds quicker than the No. 19 Performance Tech Motorsports Ligier of Bruno Junqueira, with Alex Barron third quickest in the sister K2R Ligier in Practice 3.

A 1:59.926 by Roman De Angelis, set in the opening session, however, was good enough to put the No. 13 ANSA Motorsports Ligier second on the overall time sheets for the day.

Roush Performance / Kohr Motorsports led the way in GT4, with the No. 60 Ford Mustang GT4 of Kyle Marcelli quickest in class in the third session and on Saturday.

The No. 82 Mark Motors Audi RS 3 LMS TCR, rebounding from mechanical issues in the morning, topped the TCR class, thanks to a 2:14.937 lap time by Remo Ruscitti.

LMP3 and GT4/TCR cars featured seperate final 60-minute practice sessions.

The only major incident between the two sessions was for the No. 72 NOLAsport Porsche Cayman GT4 Clubsport MR, which stopped in Turn 8 to bring out a red flag.

A final 30-minute practice session is set for Sunday at 8 a.m., immediately followed by qualifying.
