Trent Hindman held off Billy Johnson to claim the second round of the Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge season Friday at Sebring.

The win was the first for the Porsche Cayman GT4 Clubsport in international multi-class competition.

After a solid opening stint from Cameron Cassels in his second series start, Hindman took over the controls and took the lead for the first time with about 1 hour remaining in the two-hour and 30-minute race.

A slow final pit stop put the New Jersey native behind Matt Plumb’s Rum Bum Porsche 997 after the stops cycled through, but Hindman tracked down Plumb and made the pass for the lead with 31 minutes remaining.

Billy Johnson, driving Multimatic’s No. 15 Ford Shelby GT350R-C, slipped past Plumb and into second place a few laps later, relegating the Rum Bum Porsche to third where it would ultimately finish.

The win was the second consecutive series triumph for Hindman, who won the final race of 2015 at Road Atlanta but was not on the grid for Daytona.

Hindman said he is thrilled to claim the first win for the Cayman GT4 Clubsport, but added that the team has to keep moving forward.

“It’s an amazing accomplishment,” Hindman told Sportscar365. “It’s an honor more than anything else considering the brand history of Porsche.

“To be able to pull that off for them, we’re thrilled, we’re happy, but we can’t stop pushing. We can’t stop the development and the tuning alongside with Porsche.”

Owen Trinkler teamed with Sarah Cattaneo to win the ST class in the No. 44 CRG-I Do Borrow Honda Civic SI, ahead of the Michael Valiante/Chad Gilsinger-driven HART Civic.

That second-place result came despite heavy contact with Mark Pombo’s MINI JCW after the car suffered brake failure on the final lap.

The incident resulted in significant damage to both cars but the drivers were uninjured.

Trinkler and Cattaneo overcame a 14th-place qualifying result en route to the win.

It was the second win in Cattaneo’s career, and the first since 2011 at New Jersey Motorsports Park in a car that she shared with Trinkler.

BimmerWorld Racing’s duo of James Clay and Tyler Cooke overcame a post-qualifying engine change, charging from the back of the field to take third in the pole-winning BMW 328i.

The Continental Tire Challenge returns to action April 29-30 at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca.

RESULTS: Sebring 150
