Davison OK After GS Testing Accident at Road Atlanta

James Davison has emerged unscathed after a testing accident on the promoter test day Tuesday at Road Atlanta.

The driver of TRG-AMR’s GS class No. 09 Aston Martin Vantage GT4 in the Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge had an issue on the run down the hill to Turn 10, which then caused the car to do end-over-end rolls and land upside in the gravel trap.

Davison is OK and will resume driving on Wednesday. However, the No. 09 car, which was due to be run by Derek DeBoer and an as yet unannounced second driver, has been withdrawn from the rest of the weekend due to roll cage damage.

Davison will continue alongside usual co-driver Al Carter and additions David Block and Christina Nielsen in the team’s No. 007 TRG-AMR Aston Martin Vantage in the TUDOR United SportsCar Championship season finale, the Petit Le Mans Powered by Mazda.
