Trent Hindman topped the time charts in Wednesday’s opening Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge practice at Road Atlanta, ahead of Friday’s season-ending round.

The Bodymotion Racing driver reeled off a quick lap of 1:31.396 to lead a Porsche Cayman GT4 Clubsport 1-2-3-4 sweep in the session.

Hindman was 0.654 seconds quicker than the No. 21 Muehlner Motorsports entry of Jeroen Bleekemolen, with Guy Cosmo third for Team TGM and Marc Miller fourth in the No. 33 CJ Wilson Racing entry.

Champions-elect Multimatic Motorsports completed the top-five in GS with Billy Johnson’s 1:32.707 lap in the No. 15 Ford Shelby GT350-RC.

Eric Foss led the way in ST, turning a 1:36.326 lap time in his No. 56 Murillo Racing Porsche Cayman.

As was the case in GS, Caymans occupied the four quickest times in class.

The session was interrupted for an off by the No. 84 Bimmerworld BMW 328i of James Clay, who stopped in Turn 1. There was also a spin by one of the C360R Audi S3s in Turn 12, but it continued.

Practice 2 is set for Thursday at 10:10 a.m. ET.
