Paul Holton will start Saturday’s Continental Tire 120 from the pole, in a frantic qualifying for the fourth round of the Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge at Watkins Glen.

Holton took his No. 76 C360R McLaren 570S GT4 to a best lap of 1:57.578 in a shortened GS qualifying session, due to an early red flag.

The Canadian driver edged out the No. 59 KohR Motorsports Ford Mustang of Jack Roush Jr. by 0.821 seconds for his second consecutive Continental Tire Challenge pole.

He will share driving duties with Matt Plumb in tomorrow’s two-hour race.

Jesse Lazare made it two McLarens in the top-three in qualifying, setting the third quickest time in the No. 69 Motorsports In Action entry, with Hugh Plumnb fourth in the No. 4 Team TGM Porsche Cayman GT4 Clubsport MR.

Dylan Murcott completed the top-five in the No. 28 RS1 Porsche.

Nick Galante scored pole in ST, taking his No. 17 RS1 Porsche Cayman to a quick lap of 2:07.583 in the closing moments of the session, which started in damp conditions.

The No. 73 MINI JCW will line up second in class, followed by the No. 84 BimmerWorld Racing BMW 328i.

The Continental Tire 120 is set for Saturday at 2:25 p.m. ET with live coverage on IMSA.tv.
