***Bodymotion Racing’s Trent Hindman claimed the fourth pole of his career in qualifying for the Lime Rock Park 120 on Friday. He and Cameron Cassels currently leads the GS championship standings by three points, 140-137, over C360R co-drivers Paul Holton and Matt Plumb. Holton qualified fifth for the race.

***In ST class qualifying, Chad McCumbee earned the class pole for the third consecutive year at Lime Rock Park and will head into Saturday’s race looking for his third consecutive Lime Rock victory alongside co-driver Stevan McAleer in the No. 25 Freedom Autosport Mazda MX-5. It was the 20th series pole for Mazda, and the first since this race last season.

***Mazda has won the IMSA Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge ST class the last five years at Lime Rock (Clunie/Kleinubing ’12; Miller/Nunez ’13; Dwyer/Long ’14; MacAleer/McCumbee ’15 & ’16).

***The Continental Tire Challenge series had repeat winners in GS and ST the last two years at Lime Rock: Scott Maxwell and Billy Johnson partnered to give Ford wins in GS while Steven MacAleer and Chad McCumbee partnered to give Mazda wins in ST. There will be no three-peat in GS but there could be in ST.

***The McLaren 570S GT4 has received a further 40kg increase in minimum weight for this weekend, following a 20kg hike given to the mid-engined sports car prior to Watkins Glen. Additionally, the Chevrolet Camaro GT4.R, which claimed its maiden win last time out at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park, has lost two liters of fuel capacity.

***Balance of Performance changes, meanwhile, have been made to every ST class car for this weekend. It includes a 40kg weight break for the BMW 328i, +50 mbar boost increase for the BMW 228i, -50 mbar boost adjustment for the MINI Cooper JCW, as well as 40kg weight increases for both the Porsche Cayman and Nissan Altima.

***Dean Martin has returned to the wheel of the No. 59 KohR Motorsports Ford Mustang GT4 after sitting out the Canadian Tire Motorsport Park round for local veteran Scott Maxwell. Co-driver Jack Roush Jr. qualified the car 4th in the GS class.

***The KohR squad is expected to debut a second Mustang beginning with next month’s event at Road America. The Michigan-based team spent time at Multimatic during the race week at CTMP putting the finishing touches on the new chassis.

***Both the Nos. 37 and 73 MINI JCW entries will start from the rear of the ST field due to not properly marking their qualifying tires. Click Here for the starting grid.

***The two-hour Lime Rock Park 120 is scheduled to start at 10:25 a.m. ET with live streaming coverage available at IMSA.tv. IMSA Radio will be providing the commentary. The race will air on Fox Sports 1 Sunday, July 30 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. ET.
