Jack Roush Jr. will be making his IMSA Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge return at Round 2 of the season at Sebring this weekend in a KohR Motorsports-run Ford Mustang alongside Daytona pole-winner Dean Martin.

This marks the first race for Roush in Continental Tire Challenge competition since a 2013 start at Lime Rock Park, having spent the last few years in Pirelli World Challenge.

Martin and Daytona co-driver Cameron Maugeri impressed in the season’s opening race, taking pole position and running at the top of the field until a driveshaft failure took them out of contention.

Roush, who will be joining Martin for the rest of the season in the No. 59 entry, said he was excited to return to the series in the new Ford Mustang.

“We have a strong team, and the new Ford Mustang GT4 platform should be a force to reckon with,” he said.

Since his first start in the series in 2006, Roush has accrued 10 race wins and 28 podium finishes in Continental Tire Challenge competition.

Martin added that he shares Roush’s optimism looking ahead toward the remainder of the season.

“I’m excited to be back together with Jack for the remainder of the 2017 season,” said Martin.

“We’ve got great history together, and great chemistry. We’ve always done well together and the new 2017 Mustang is a fantastic car to drive. We’re going to have a great year.”

In addition to the Martin/Roush-driven No. 59 Mustang, KohR will be fielding a second car for Scott Maxwell and Jade Buford at Sebring after that duo competed under the Multimatic Motorsports banner at Daytona.
