Last year’s TUDOR United SportsCar Championship GT Le Mans class champion Kuno Wittmer, who opened his 2015 account with a GT Daytona class win in the 53rd Rolex 24 at Daytona, will shift to the Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge at Sebring later this month.

The Canadian will join Honda of America Racing Team (HART) in CTSC. He’ll share the No. 93 Honda Civic Si in ST with Chad Gilsinger.

“It’s somewhat of a sweet return for me, especially because I’m reunited with Honda,” said Wittmer, who ran with Honda in the 2008 CTSC season and won a round at Trois-Rivieres.

“Honda is a special manufacturer for me because it’s with Honda that I earned my first victories and championships.”

Right now Wittmer’s contract is just for Sebring, but with the potential of further races. He’ll be in the same number car – 93 – as he was at the Rolex 24 this year.

Peter Cunningham shared the car with Gilsinger in the season-opening Daytona race, and Michael Valiante was on board with Gilsinger in 2014.

Wittmer is not listed in the TI Automotive/Riley Motorsports Dodge Viper GT3-R for the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring.

Marc Goossens is listed alongside Al Carter, Cameron Lawrence and Ben Keating in the No. 93 GTD car, following the release of the entry list earlier this week.
