Twenty-three cars are set to take part in next weekend’s Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix at Belle Isle, in the second and final street race of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship season.

No major surprises are on the entry list, released on Wednesday, which sees 11 DPi and 12 GT Daytona class cars represented.

Whelen Engineering Racing’s Pipo Derani and Felipe Nasr head in with a four-point lead over the Acura Team Penske pairing of Helio Castroneves and Ricky Taylor, with Jordan Taylor and Renger van der Zande a close third in the DPi title race.

Of note, Juncos Racing has yet to announce the second driver in its Cadillac DPi-V.R alongside Will Owen.

Kyle Kaiser, who raced his way into the Indianapolis 500 with the team, has driven alongside Owen in the last two rounds although is currently not listed.

GTD sees the previously confirmed lineup change of Zach Robichon at Park Place Motorsports, as well as the pair of Meyer Shank Racing Acura NSX GT3 Evos, which have been confirmed to take part in the WeatherTech Sprint Cup-only round.

Compass Racing is set for its second WeatherTech Championship outing with its McLaren 720S GT3, which has been given a 9-liter increase in fuel capacity, which is the only Balance of Performance adjustment heading into the race.

Track action begins on Friday May 31, with the 100-minute race set for Sat. June 1.
