Action Express Racing topped the time charts again, with its pair of Corvette DPs swapping positions from Thursday’s morning session at Sebring International Raceway.

The No. 5 car of Christian Fittipaldi led the 60-minute afternoon session, posting a best lap of 1:53.850 to outpace teammate Scott Pruett in the No. 31 entry by 0.433 seconds.

Alegra Motorsports was third quickest overall, thanks to a 1:54.334 lap time set by Daniel Morad in the No. 24 Riley-BMW DP.

It came prior to an off-course excursion by co-driver Cameron Lawrence, which brought out the session’s one-and-only red flag.

Morad’s time was still 2 seconds slower than Dane Cameron’s quick lap set in the morning, unlike this afternoon’s hot and humid conditions at the Florida airfield circuit.

Olivier Pla in the No. 60 Michael Shank Racing Ligier JS P2 Honda and the Ryan Hunter-Reay driven No. 90 Visit Florida Racing Corvette DP completed the top-five overall in the session.

CORE autosport again led the way in Prototype Challenge, but this time it was Mark Wilkins that set the fast lap, pedaling his No. 54 Oreca FLM09 to a 1:56.655 lap.

Patrick Pilet (Porsche North America) and Mathias Lauda (Aston Martin Racing) led the GT Le Mans and GT Daytona ranks, respectively.

The No. 11 Change Racing Lamborghini Huracan GT3 turned its first laps of the weekend after a fuel leak prevented the car from setting a time in the morning.

A 90-minute night practice session is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.

RESULTS: Practice 2
