Action Express Racing has retained its full-season, championship-winning driver lineup for the 2017 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship season, the team confirmed on Tuesday.

Joao Barbosa, Christian Fittipaldi, plus newly crowned Prototype class champions Eric Curran and Dane Cameron will all return to the North Carolina-based operation for its planned, yet-to-be-announced Cadillac DPi effort.

“We’re looking forward to having our driver lineup return intact next season,” said team manager Gary Nelson. “Joao, Christian, Dane and Eric all work extremely hard at their craft and they all work well together, as well as do an excellent job driving our race cars.

“Our style is to make as few changes as possible within our race team, and that starts with our drivers. Obviously, as we look to next year, that’s exactly what we’re doing.

“And it’s not just the continuity we have enjoyed with our core drivers, but with the entire race team including our full-time engineering staff.”

The team recently took delivery of the first of its Dallara-chassied cars, with the Cadillac DPi program, which will include Wayne Taylor Racing, set to be formally announced within the next few weeks.
