The No. 5 Action Express Racing Cadillac DPi-V.R of Filipe Albuquerque holds a lead of more than a lap over the team’s No. 31 entry, and set the new all-time distance record for the Rolex 24 at Daytona.

The previous record of 2,760.960 miles was surpassed on the No. 5 car’s 776th tour of the 3.56-mile circuit.

Only four full course caution periods have occurred in the first 23 hours, helping to elevate the pace.

Mike Conway runs second in the No. 31 AXR Cadillac, with Colin Braun holding down third for CORE autosport.

The No. 67 Chip Ganassi Racing Ford GT jumped to the lead during a pit sequence and Ryan Briscoe climbed aboard to take the car to the finish line.

The No. 66 Ford has slipped to third with Joey Hand running three seconds behind the GT Le Mans class leader.

Four cars remain on the lead lap in GT Daytona, paced by the No. 11 Grasser Racing Team Lamborghini Huracan GT3. Should Mirko Bortolotti hold on for victory, it would mark the first 24-hour race win for the Huracan.

Adding another element of intrigue to the final hour, there is a possibility for rain to move into the Daytona area before the checkered flag falls.
