Dane Cameron has led an Action Express Racing 1-2, and Corvette DP sweep of the top for positions in final practice prior to qualifying for Saturday’s Chevrolet Sports Car Classic at Belle Isle.

Cameron’s 1:23.860 in the No. 31 Corvette DP was 0.561 seconds quicker than teammate Christian Fittipaldi, whose No. 5 entry topped the time charts in morning practice in the hands of Joao Barbosa.

Marc Goossens was third quickest for Visit Florida Racing, with Ricky Taylor fourth in the No. 10 Wayne Taylor Racing entry.

Ozz Negri completed the top-five in the No. 60 Michael Shank Racing Ligier JS P2 Honda, although nearly 1.5 seconds down from the pace-setting Corvette DP.

Colin Braun was quickest in Prototype Challenge in his No. 54 CORE autosport Oreca FLM09, while Joerg Bergmeister led the way again in GT Daytona in his No. 73 Park Place Motorsports Porsche 911 GT3 R.

The session saw three red flags, the first for the No. 20 BAR1 Motorsports PC entry of Johnny Mowlem, which had suspension failure and was stranded on track.

Additional reds were caused by Katherine Legge, who spun and stalled her No. 60 Michael Shank Racing Ligier on track, while Eric Curran also looped his No. 31 Corvette DP in the closing minutes.

Qualifying gets underway at 5:05 p.m. ET.
