Eleven of Level 5 Motorsports’ race cars and equipment comprising of 350 lots will go up for auction next month in Auburn, Ind., as part of a court-appointed sale of items from the Scott Tucker-owned team.

Auctions America has been commissioned for the sale, set to take place on May 11-13, that will see the majority of the team’s equipment go on the block, all at no reserve.

The four-time American Le Mans Series championship-winning team, which also claimed GT Daytona class victory in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship series-opening Rolex 24 at Daytona in 2014, ceased operations following multiple Federal charges against Tucker in a payday lending scheme.

Tucker, who was indicted by the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York on fraud and racketeering charges, owes more than $1.2 billion to the Federal Trade Commission for allegedly deceiving customers in lending terms.

A trial, which was set to begin on Monday in Manhattan, has since been delayed until Sept. 11. Tucker, along with lawyer Timothy Muir, pled not guilty to the charges.

The Level 5 equipment up for auction currently takes the space of a 20,000 square-foot warehouse, ahead of next month’s sale.

“What immediately strikes you about the former Level 5 Motorsports Collection is its sheer magnitude,” said Barney Ruprecht, Car Specialist, Auctions America.

“It is incredibly rare to see such a diverse assortment of race cars, equipment and spare parts, all offered without reserve at one time.

“From enthusiasts to professional teams, there’s something for every class of racer, whether competing at an amateur level or looking to field multiple cars at the track.”
