Matt Campbell and Dennis Olsen have become Porsche Young Professionals, graduating from the German manufacturer’s Junior program for 2018.
Campbell and Olsen join Matteo Cairoli and Mathieu Jaminet in the newly expanded lineup, which was established last year as a step between Porsche Juniors and full factory drivers.
Both drivers were race winners in Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup this year, with Olsen also claiming the Porsche Carrera Cup Germany title for Konrad Motorsport.
Campbell, meanwhile, was part of the GT3 Pro-Am class-winning lineup in February’s Liqui-Moly Bathurst 12 Hour with Competition Motorsports, in what was the 22-year-old Australian’s first race as a Porsche Junior.
Julien Andlauer has been named a Porsche Junior for next year, joining Austrian driver Thomas Preining. Both will compete in Supercup.
“All our young racing drivers have developed superbly in 2017,” said Head of Porsche Motorsport Dr. Frank-Steffen Walliser.
“The one-make cups, in particular, have proven to be an outstanding springboard for the Porsche Juniors.”
