The new Ave-Riley AR2 is set for its competition debut in next month’s European Le Mans Series round at Red Bull Ring, with the American-built LMP3 car arriving in Europe to begin an extensive testing program.

The car had to undergo revisions to the splitter, roof and windshield prior to its homologation by the ACO, which resulted in a nearly three-month delay. It completed a rollout earlier this month in the U.S.

Tony Ave posted photos of the completed car on his Facebook page, following its arrival to Murphy Prototype’s workshop in the UK this week.

The Irish squad will run the car for Ave and fellow American Doug Peterson in the remaining ELMS rounds, as well as the possibility of other LMP3-eligible European races later this year.

The team kicked off the ELMS season at Silverstone with a rented Ginetta LMP3, prior to a switch to a Ligier JS P3 for Imola.
