Ryo Hirakawa topped the time sheets in Saturday’s Free Practice 2 for the European Le Mans Series season-ending round at Portimao, with the championship-leading G-Drive Racing outfit showing the edge over Friday pace-setters DragonSpeed.

The Japanese driver reeled off a 1:34.034 in the 90-minute session to go quickest of the weekend, outpacing the No. 21 Oreca 07 Gibson of Nico Lapierre by 0.324 seconds.

The No. 40 Graff Oreca, which won last time out in Spa, was third quickest, with the No. 18 M.Racing – YMR Ligier JS P3 Nissan leading the way in LMP3.

Matteo Cairoli, meanwhile, was quickest in GTE in his No. 77 Proton Competition Porsche 911 RSR.

Qualifying gets underway at 2:40 p.m. local time.

    Never mind qualifying – Sportscar365 just got a facelift!

    I like it, even if it will take some getting used to.
