Nicolas Lapierre kept DragonSpeed on top in the second Free Practice session for the European Le Mans Series at Red Bull Ring, improving upon his session-topping time from the first session by 1.5 seconds.

He set a lap time of 1:19.082 early in the 90-minute session on Saturday morning to take the No. 21 Oreca 07 Gibson to the top of the timesheets, with the team’s G-Drive Racing-backed car logging the second-best time with Leo Roussel at the wheel.

It continues a clean sweep of the weekend so far for the French-American team, which pulled off a similar 1-2 finish in Friday afternoon’s Free Practice 1.

United Autosports and IDEC Sport Racing were the fastest of the Ligier JS P217 Gibson teams, classifying third and fourth, while High Class Racing’s car in seventh position was the quickest Dallara P217 Gibson.

AT Racing’s Mikkel Jensen topped the LMP3 class with its Ligier JS P3 Nissan after finishing third on Friday afternoon, with a time around five tenths quicker than previously.

The Panis Barthez Competition Ligier of Simon Gachet was second, followed by Oregon Team and Duqueine Engineering’s Norma M30 Nissans.

Proton Competition was unable to remain on top in GTE, with the Andrea Bertolini’s Spirit of Race Ferrari 488 GTE going faster by just 0.3 seconds.

The Proton Porsche 911 RSR of Matteo Cairoli came home second followed by Beechdeam AMR’s Aston Martin Vantage GTE driven by Darren Turner.

Qualifying for the Four Hours of Red Bull Ring is scheduled for 1:45 p.m. local time.
