Panis Barthez Competition led the way in practice for the Four Hours of Imola, finishing both European Le Mans Series sessions on top in its Ligier JS P2 Nissan.

Paul-Loup Chatin set the pace in Free Practice 2 with a 1:33.881 around the Italian circuit, bettering his session-topping time from yesterday by 0.554 seconds. Fabien Barthez and Timothe Buret also set times in the car.

Krohn Racing was in second with Olivier Pla in its similar Ligier. Bjorn Wirdheim has been enlisted as a last-minute replacement for the injured Tracy Krohn in the No. 40 car.

DragonSpeed was to complete the top three, finishing six-tenths down on the leader in the No. 21 Oreca 05 Nissan.

Greaves Motorsport was fourth, while Eurasia Motorsport came home fifth.

Villorba Corse was on top in LMP3, with a best lap time of 1:40.349 in the No. 7 Ligier JS P3 Nissan.

Duqueine Engineering’s No. 19 car was second, with Panis Barthez Competition third.

JMW Motorsport remained the GTE leaders, with Andrea Bertolini topping the timesheets in the No. 66 Ferrari F458 Italia with a 1:41.870.

This left the No. 88 Porsche 911 RSR of Proton Competition in second, followed by the No. 55 Ferrari of AF Corse.

No fewer than five full course yellows, and a red flag period, interrupted the 90 minute session.

Qualifying is set for 1:50 p.m. local time.
