Harry Tincknell was fastest in Free Practice 1 for the Four Hours of Red Bull Ring, in his No. 38 G-Drive Racing Gibson 015S.

The Brit set a lap time of 1:21.809 around the Austrian circuit, in the first practice session for Round 3 of the European Le Mans Series season.

He shares the G-Drive Gibson with Giedo van der Garde and Simon Dolan, who both also took to the track in the 90-minute session.

Paul-Loup Chatin came second on the timesheets, in his Panis Barthez Competition Ligier JS P2 Nissan, lapping 0.584 seconds slower. Nicolas Lapierre completed the top three for DragonSpeed.

Panis Barthez went one better in LMP3, topping the class with Simon Gachet behind the wheel of the No. 16 Ligier JS P3 Nissan, with a time of 1:26.644. Wayne Boyd and Alex Brundle were second and third, in the two United Autosports cars.

Meanwhile, Matteo Cairoli led the GTE category for Proton Competition, in the team’s No. 88 Porsche 911 RSR. Rory Butcher was in second position; his JMW Motorsport Ferrari F458 Italia just 0.240 seconds slower than the Porsche.

Free Practice 2 is set for 8:45 a.m. local time on Saturday, ahead of Sunday’s race at 2:00 p.m.
