The provisional entry list for this year’s Road to Le Mans races has been released, with 45 cars set to take to La Sarthe ahead of the 24-hour classic.

ENTRY LIST: Road to Le Mans

Twenty-nine LMP3 cars will battle for the overall victory, in a field that includes three Norma M30 Nissans, as well as one ADESS and one Ginetta, with the remainder of the class comprising Ligier JS P3 Nissans.

The 16-strong GT3 field features a diverse range of machinery, including seven manufacturers.

While the majority of entries come from the Michelin Le Mans Cup, many European Le Mans Series and Asian Le Mans Series teams will also take part in the race.

The 45 teams and 90 drivers entered for the second Road To Le Mans will tackle the Sarthe circuit for the first time on the evening of Wednesday, June 14, in the first free practice session.

The second session will take place on the morning of Thursday, June 15, followed by two qualifying sessions in the afternoon.

Both races will be run to the same format: 55 minutes with an obligatory pit stop lasting at least two minutes between 22 and 32 minutes into race.

The start of the first race will be given on Thursday, June 15, at 5:30 p.m., and the second will be run on Saturday morning at 11:30 a.m. just before the start of the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

It’s an Ave-Riley LMP3. It’s Tony Ave’s project, Riley is just providing technical and engineering support.

Am I the only one sick of the Ligier monopoly in LMP2 and LMP3? Why have other manufacturers when the majority of the field gonna copy each other? Make it stop please!
