Toyota Gazoo Racing’s Mike Conway topped the time sheets in Saturday’s second of three test sessions at Monza, setting the best lap of the weekend in the Prologue pre-season test.

Conway reeled off a 1:31.332 in his No. 7 Toyota TS050 Hybrid to lead a 1-2 for the Japanese manufacturer, with Kazuki Nakajima seven-tenths behind in second.

The No. 2 Porsche 919 Hybrid of Brendon Hartley was third quickest, but unable to eclipse Neel Jani’s 1:32.068 time set in the three-hour morning session.

LMP2 was led by defending class champion Gustavo Menezes in the No. 36 Signatech Alpine Matmut Alpine A470 Gibson with a 1:37.020, which was nearly one-second slower than Bruno Senna’s class pace-setting time from the morning session.

The No. 92 Porsche 911 RSR of Kevin Estre led the way in GTE-Pro, despite putting the car into the gravel midway through the three-hour session to bring out a red flag.

Ben Barker, meanwhile, was again quickest in GTE-Am in his No. 86 Gulf Racing Porsche.

A two-hour night session wraps up today’s track activity, beginning at 7 p.m. local time.
