Ginetta Unveils G60-LT-P1 LMP1 Contender

Ginetta unveiled its LMP1 contender, the G60-LT-P1, at the Autosport International show in Birmingham, UK, on Thursday morning.

The car was revealed in the livery of TRS Racing Manor which is so far the only team confirmed to run it in the 2018-19 FIA World Endurance Championship ‘Super Season’.

Ginetta chairman Lawrence Tomlinson was joined for the unveiling by technical director Ewan Baldry and Manor sporting director Graeme Lowdon.

Chairman of TRS, Zhang Yi, and vice president Li Qiao, were also present for the event.

“I’m delighted to finally be able to unveil our latest machine to the motorsport industry, and what better time than at the start of our 60th year of manufacturing,” commented Tomlinson.

“Ginetta has a long history of international success in with the G55 GT4, LMP3 and G57. The LMP1 will be a strong contender in the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) and at Le Mans.

“We have a great team of Design Engineers in Leeds, have worked with some excellent partners on the project, and can’t wait to show you what the LMP1 is made of out on track.”

The car is expected to begin testing in the coming weeks with further details expected soon regarding driver lineups.

Lowdon confirmed that Manor expects to announce its drivers soon and that the British outfit so far only has one car confirmed while a second is under consideration.
