Testing of the new Rebellion R-One has continued this week at Paul Ricard, with the ORECA-built LMP1-L car now set for a debut next weekend’s FIA WEC Six Hours of Spa-Francorchamps.

Mathias Beche, Nick Heidfeld and Nicolas Prost turned laps in the all-new prototype today in France, with the Anglo-Swiss squad confirming that both cars will be ready for the second round of the FIA WEC season.

Rebellion will again be the only LMP1-L team in the field, as the new Lotus T129 AER will not take part in the Belgian race, casting further questions over its involvement for the remainder of the season.

Andrea Belicchi, Dominik Kraihamer and Fabio Leimer will pilot the second Rebellion R-One at Spa next week.
