Final Seats Confirmed for Le Mans

Seats filled at G-Drive, Graff, Ferrari and Porsche for 24H Le Mans…

All but one seat for the 24 Hours of Le Mans has now been confirmed, following the release of the nearly completed entry list by the ACO on Tuesday.

A number of changes have been made since the initial release of the 60-car entry list, although for the second consecutive year, there have been no withdrawals.

In addition to Toyota Gazoo Racing’s driver shakeup, which sees Jose Maria Lopez and Stephane Sarrazin swap cars for Le Mans, ByKolles Racing’s lineup of Oliver Webb, James Rossiter and Dominik Kraihamer have been confirmed for its LMP1 entry.

IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship driver Jose Gutierrez, meanwhile, has been confirmed as the final driver in the No. 22 G-Drive Racing Oreca 07 Gibson in LMP2, taking the seat occupied by Leo Roussel in the team’s European Le Mans Series effort.

Both of the Graff Racing Orecas, meanwhile, will retain its ELMS lineups of Enzo Guibbert, Eric Trouillet, James Winslow (No. 39) and James Allen, Franck Matelli and Richard Bradley (No. 40).

Ferrari factory drivers Olivier Beretta and Andrea Bertolini, meanwhile, have been confirmed in the No. 54 Spirit of Race and No. 83 DH Racing Ferrari 488 GTE entries, respectively, with Beretta filling the seat of Miguel Molina, who moves to the No. 71 AF Corse Ferrari in GTE-Pro for the race.

Five of the six drivers for Proton Competition’s two Le Mans-only entries, also in GTE-Am, have been set, with Patrick Long set to be joined by Abdulaziz Al Faisal and Mike Hedlund in the No. 93 Porsche 911 RSR and Nick Yelloly and Stephane Lemeret the only two confirmed drivers in the No. 88 car so far.

Porsche factory driver Wolf Henzler was initially the nominated driver for the Proton entry but is understood to no longer be in the mix.

Proton’s fourth Porsche, entered under the Mentos-Proton Racing banner, remains as the lone remaining reserve entry, although is increasingly unlikely to compete in the French endurance classic.
