Harry Tincknell will complete Jota Sport’s lineup in next month’s Six Hours of Spa-Francorchamps, it was announced Thursday.

The Nissan LMP1 factory driver, who is already undertaking a full-season European Le Mans Series program with the British team, will join Simon Dolan and Mitch Evans in its Gibson 015S Nissan for the Belgian event.

Tincknell is able to compete in the FIA World Endurance Championship round due to the delay in the Nissan GT-R LM NISMO, which is now slated to debut at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in June.

“I’m delighted to be called up for Spa and obviously have good memories, last year finishing second in my first race at World Championship level,” Tincknell said.

“I also believe the new Gibson update will suit Spa very well. Simon drove really well there last year considering it was only a few weeks after his massive Silverstone shunt.

“There is no doubt that Mitch will be fast so we go to Belgium with a very strong package. Jota has worked very hard over the winter and the guys were absolutely supreme in the pit-stops at Silverstone.”

Tincknell, Dolan and Audi factory driver Filipe Albuquerque are coming off a runner-up finish in last weekend’s ELMS season-opener at Silverstone.

With Albuquerque unable to do Spa or Le Mans for Jota, the team has recruited New Zealand rising star Evans, a protégé of Mark Webber, for the upcoming two events.

“For us as a team, it’ll be great to have Harry onboard at Spa,” said Jota Sport’s Sam Hignett. “Harry’s inclusion can only help Mitch too in his preparation for Le Mans.

“Jota Sport finished second [in LMP2] last year before winning [LMP2] our only other FIA World Endurance Championship race at Le Mans so this time our aim is to go one better especially after our recent Silverstone performance.”
