Building on its foundation as one of the leading independent sources for global sports car racing coverage, Sportscar365 has announced an expansion of its digital platform for 2016 with the launch of its new “Double Stint” podcast.

The weekly podcast, hosted by ESPN Radio’s Ryan Myrehn and featuring Sportscar365 founder and Editor-in-Chief John Dagys and North American Editor Tony DiZinno, will offer listeners a unique glimpse into the world of sports car racing, with news, interviews, analysis and opinion.

“We’re excited to expand our reach into another digital platform,” said Dagys. “With Double Stint, we feel there’s an opportunity to help tell the story of sports car racing to an exciting new audience as well as providing our strong following a further method of staying up to date on the latest news and happenings in the sport.”

Double Stint will be packaged into a fast-paced 30-45 minute format, covering the latest top stories, a recap of the previous weekend of racing, a featured interview, as well as a look ahead to the racing action in the weekend ahead.

The first episode, featuring an interview with Rolex 24 at Daytona winner Scott Sharp of Tequila Patron ESM, will launch later this week, with episodes slated to be published every Tuesday, available both at sportscar365.com and on iTunes.

Myrehn, a veteran broadcaster and sports director for ESPN UP in Marquette, Mich., will lead the weekly podcast alongside Dagys and DiZinno, with regular guest co-hosts, including Sportscar365’s European-based reporters, also planned.

“I’m very excited to help contribute to Sportscar365’s coverage with the Double Stint podcast,” said Myrehn. “I’ve been a frequent visitor to the Web site since it first came online in 2013, and I’m beyond thrilled to be working with John, Tony, and the rest of the Sportscar365 staff. I can’t wait to see where this leads.”

The podcast launch comes after Sportscar365’s most successful month to date, with a record 850,000 page views and more than 150,000 unique viewers visiting the site over the course of January for in-depth coverage of the Rolex 24 at Daytona, as well as the 24 Hours of Dubai.
