While history was made with Porsche returning to the top step of the podium, new records were achieved by the the web’s leading sports car racing news source, with Sportscar365 recording impressive numbers and significant growth during the 83rd running of the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

This year’s twice-around-the-clock endurance classic delivered record traffic to Sportscar365, with more than 300,000 visits to the Web site over the course of the race week, including four consecutive single-day traffic records.

Users from 158 countries visited the site for the latest Le Mans news, marking a 52 percent increase in unique viewers from last year’s event, which had been Sportscar365’s most successful week since its launch in September 2013.

Sportscar365’s teams of journalists, led by founder and Editor-in-Chief John Dagys, alongside North American and European Editors, Tony DiZinno and Marcel Ten Caat, anchored its comprehensive coverage, with nearly 100 articles published.

From the race debut of Nissan’s GT-R LM NISMO to the drama for Corvette Racing in qualifying and Ford’s announcement of its new factory GT program, there was no shortage of breaking news and features throughout the action-packed week.

In addition to its partnership with French language site Endurance-Info, Sportscar365 also featured extensive multimedia coverage, with photographers Brian Cleary and Brecht Decancq, as well as exclusive video blogs from the drivers of the JMW Motorsport/GB Autosport Ferrari F458 Italia.

“Le Mans is always the highlight of our year and we’re thrilled to have been able to share the many storylines from this year’s race to an increased global audience,” Dagys said.

“It not only shows the rapid growth of Sportscar365 but also new interest in endurance racing as a whole, which is extremely important and a significant step forward for all involved in the sport.

Sportscar365’s next major event will be the Total 24 Hours of Spa, the fourth round of the Blancpain Endurance Series on July 23-26, which will see increased on-site coverage of the Blancpain Endurance Series round.
