Simona De Silvestro will make her Porsche GT racing debut, having been confirmed as part of Team75 Bernhard’s lineup in ADAC GT Masters next year.

The 31-year-old Swiss, who serves as a test and development driver for Porsche’s ABB FIA Formula E program, will contest the German-based GT3 championship in a Porsche 911 GT3 R alongside former Porsche Junior Klaus Bachler.

De Silvestro, who has spent the last three years in the Virgin Australia Supercar series, has previous GT3 experience with Meyer Shank Racing’s Acura NSX GT3 Evo in this year’s Rolex 24 at Daytona.

In addition to Matt Campbell and Mathieu Jaminet, De Silvestro has also been added to Porsche’s factory lineup for 2020.

Both De Silvestro and Porsche Young Professional Thomas Preining will dovetail their Formula E commitments with GT racing programs, with 21-year-old Preining set to take on the five-round Intercontinental GT Challenge powered by Pirelli.
