Plans for a GT endurance race in South Korea with an ambitious $500,000 purse have been put on hold, with organizers of the proposed Race123 announcing that its event has been postponed “until further notice”

The event, which was scheduled to take part on April 20-22 at Korea International Circuit, is understood to have struggled to attract entries, with only Absolute Racing having confirmed plans to enter the 1,230 km-distance race.

“We will be hosting discussions with national/international teams; drivers; as well as all affiliates and partners. Further updates and announcements will be made along the way,” a statement from the organizer read.

The race was to award $200,000 to the overall winner, in what would have been one of the largest single-race purses in modern day sports car racing history.
