Mercedes-AMG has confirmed that it will support five cars in May’s Nürburgring 24, with factory entries run by Black Falcon, HTP Motorsport and Haribo Racing Team.

The German manufacturer will attempt to defend its top-four sweep from the Mercedes-AMG GT3’s maiden appearance at the classic German endurance race last season.

Black Falcon and HTP will both field two cars each, while Haribo Racing Team adds a fifth car to the grid.

In addition, Black Falcon, HTP and Team Landgraf are set to enter a single non-factory-supported entry each.

The factory lineup includes Maro Engel and Edoardo Mortara, two drivers from Mercedes-AMG’s DTM roster, as well as GT regulars Maximilian Buhk, Dominik Baumann and Renger van der Zande, to name but a few.

Ford factory drivers Dirk Mueller and Stefan Muecke are also included in the lineup.

The first Black Falcon entry features a largely unchanged lineup from the winning No. 4 entry last year, albeit with Yelmer Buurman replacing Bernd Schneider.

He joins reigning race-winners Adam Christodoulou, Manuel Metzger and Engel in that car.

Mercedes GT regulars Thomas Jaeger and Jan Seyffarth will share the second Black Falcon car, alongside Ford driver Mueller, and Engel, who will split his time between two cars.

Former Audi factory driver and new Mercedes recruit Mortara heads up the first HTP car along with fellow ex-Audi man Edward Sandström. HTP GT regulars Maximilian Buhk and Dominik Baumann complete the lineup.

Baumann is set to do double duty at HTP, and he will join Stefan Muecke in the second car. Christian Hohenadel and Nico Bastian round out that lineup.

Meanwhile, DTM regular Maximilian Goetz joins Visit Florida Racing’s Renger van der Zande, along with Lance David Arnold and Uwe Alzen, in the Haribo car.
