The No. 59 McLaren 650S GT3 of Garage 59 has lost its second-place starting position for the Qualifying Race for the Nürburgring round of the Blancpain GT Series Sprint Cup to a penalty for an overboost infraction.

Come Ledogar qualified the car into second position in the third qualifying session on Saturday morning, lapping 0.096 seconds slower than Alvaro Parente in the sister No. 58 car.

Garage 59 was set to have a front row lockout, until the No. 59 car lost all of its times from the third and final session.

The overboost infraction was in breach of Article 94 of the 2016 BGTS Sporting Regulations and as a result, Ledogar and Martin Plowman will start this afternoon’s race from 20th position.

Parente and Rob Bell keep their pole position but now line up alongside the No. 33 Belgian Audi Club Team WRT Audi R8 LMS of Christopher Mies and Enzo Ide.

The Qualifying Race will start at 2:30 p.m. local time.
