Entries for October’s California 8 Hours at Laguna Seca is now open, with SRO Motorsports Group accepting applications for the Intercontinental GT Challenge season finale.

The Oct. 26-28 event, which was moved one week further back to allow a two-week gap from the Motul Petit Le Mans, will feature GT3, GT4, GT Cup and Invitational class machinery, with an expected increased entry over last year’s inaugural race that saw 19 cars.

Factory or works-supported entries from Audi, Bentley, Mercedes-AMG, Porsche and McLaren are set to be joined by other GT3 manufacturers, as well as an influx of GT4 machinery.

Bentley Team M-Sport, Strakka Racing and Black Swan Racing are among the full-season teams committed to the four-round IGTC, which kicked off at the Liqui-Moly Bathurst 12 Hour earlier this month, and will see stops at Spa and Suzuka in July and August, respectively.

The overall winner will receive $20,000 in prize money, with the runner-up getting $10,000 and $7,000 for the third-place finisher.

As was the case last year, Pirelli will again be the exclusive tire supplier, although the Italian tire manufacturer will bring its new-generation DHD2 construction to Monterey.
