Following Bentley’s announcement that Team Absolute will be tasked with running two Continental GT3s in next year’s Pirelli World Challenge season, Dyson Racing has officially confirmed its split with the manufacturer.

“I’m proud of what the team accomplished over the past two seasons,” said Rob Dyson, Dyson Racing team founder and CEO.

“It was an honor for us to directly represent the Bentley brand in North America. Bentley is an absolutely first-class organization and it was a pleasure working with our new friends.

“It was satisfying helping them highlight the performance qualities of both the Continental GT3 and all the other terrific cars that Bentley markets in North America.”

The program ends after a two-year run that featured two victories, one by Guy Smith at Miller Motorsports Park in 2014 and another by Chris Dyson at Road America this year. Smith’s was the first overall win in North America for Bentley.

For Chris Dyson, who was back to driving fully after a 2014 that spent him focusing primarily on business commitments, he was rejuvenated behind the wheel.

“As a driver, I have to say this was one of my most enjoyable seasons,” he said. “From a personal standpoint I worked really hard to prepare myself for returning to full-time competition this year and I ended up doing more total racing events this year than I ever have.  I’ve probably never enjoyed racing more.”

Dyson Racing will announce its 2016 plans in the new year, as it is currently evaluating its options.
