The first drivers of Kessel Racing’s confirmed Blancpain Endurance Series attack have been announced, as the Swiss team returns to the championship for the third consecutive year, again fielding two Ferrari 458 Italia GT3s.

Polish driver Michal Broniszewski and Italian Giacomo Petrobelli will team up, meaning that their car will be entered in the Pro-Am Trophy, the class in which Petrobelli finished third in the drivers’ standings last year.

The second Ferrari 458 Italia GT3 will participate in the increasingly popular Gentlemen Trophy, where American Stephen Earle and German Freddy Kremer will share the wheel.

The third driver on both cars will be named shortly.

For the past two seasons Kessel Racing was one of the favorites in the Pro Cup, with Davide Rigon, Cesar Ramos and Daniele Zampieri only missing out on the title after a disastrous season finale at Nürburgring Blancpain 1000 last year.

Instead, the Lugano-based team has appeared to make the European Le Mans Series its main target this season, with two GTE-spec Ferrari 458 Italia’s entered.
