Acura will remain in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship next year, again fielding two ARX-06 GTP entries with Meyer Shank Racing for the second consecutive season.
Confirmed on Thursday, both the Nos. 60 and 93 entries will return to the top class, with drivers yet to be confirmed.
Acura and MSR have combined to score two wins this year, at the Detroit Grand Prix with Renger van der Zande and Nick Yelloly, and at the Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen with the sister car of Colin Braun and Tom Blomqvist.
The luxury automaker currently sits second in the manufacturers’ title with two races to go.
“It’s been an amazing season reuniting with the Meyer Shank Racing team under the Acura Meyer Shank Racing banner,” said HRC US President David Salters.
“We’ve had two wins so far, we’re fighting for the manufacturers’ championship, and there’s two races still to run.
“I’m so proud of everything this group of men and women at Acura MSR and HRC US have accomplished this year and I’m looking forward to building on that momentum for next season.
“We have had delight and despair running Car #93 so far, this was a new challenge we set ourselves to grow at HRC and we love it! We love racing for Acura, we love MSR, we love IMSA and we love our fans.
“Heady times for sports car racing, to be in the middle of this era and entertain the fans with these super cool GTP prototypes makes us very proud to represent HRC.”
Meyer Shank Racing co-owner Mike Shank added: “As we finish out a solid 2025 IMSA season with Acura, of course we’re excited and already looking forward to 2026. T
“he merger of the MSR crew and HRC engineering staff has been fun to watch and be a part of. We’ve all learned a lot this year and saw some great success on track.
“The Acura and HRC support and partnership is incredible, and we’re ready to chase a Championship next year.”
