IMSA has confirmed the pit lane and garage assignments following the first-ever qualifying session to determine the positions at last weekend’s Roar Before the 24.

Allocations have been given to all 50 cars, including Action Express Racing (Prototype), Ford Chip Ganassi Racing (GT Le Mans) and Grasser Racing Team (GT Daytona), which topped their respective categories in the qualifying session.

Of note, Acura Team Penske has elected to split its pit locations up by car, with the No. 6 Acura ARX-05 taking the 31st position on pit lane and the No. 7 car in the 25th box.

The team typically employs a similar pit lane strategy for its IndyCar races, in providing space between its team cars in the event both need to pit on the same lap.

CORE autosport will also be split on pit road, by request, with its two-car Porsche GT Le Mans team separated from its Prototyoe effort.

Every other multi-car team has remained grouped together, including Risi Competizione, the only team fielding entries in multiple classes.

Per the rules, Risi’s pit location was determined by the team’s qualifying position of its No. 82 Ferrari 488 GT3.
