Stephen Simpson and Misha Goikhberg will return to the wheel of the No. 85 JDC-Miller Motorsports Oreca 07 Gibson in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship next year, the team confirmed on Wednesday.

Chris Miller, meanwhile, will again complete the lineup for the Tequila Patron North American Endurance Cup races, with the team’s fourth driver for the season-opening Rolex 24 at Daytona still to-be-announced.

The Minnesota-based squad is coming off a strong debut year in the Prototype class, having mounted challenges for race wins and claiming runner-up finishes at the Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen and at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park.

“I’m glad to be back with JDC-Miller for another season and am very curious to see what we can do with a year under our belt.” Goikhberg said. “The competition is getting very high and we welcome the challenge.

“I think we can still improve in all areas as we look to make a more sustained and targeted challenge at the championship and capture that first elusive win.

“I’m very happy that we have continuity in the driver line-up as well and look forward to co-driving again with two very strong drivers in Stephen and Chris.”

Simpson added: “Continuity and chemistry has been key to our strong 2017 season and I relish the added competition that the 2018 season promises.

“I’m confident we can build on what we have learned and head into the new season with high expectations.”

JDC-Miller Finalizing Second Car Lineup

Testing is underway to confirm drivers for JDC-Miller’s second full-season Oreca LMP2 entry, with the team at Sebring this week to evaluate potential new pilots.

IMSA Prototype Challenge presented by Mazda runner-up Colin Thompson was among the drivers to have turned laps on Tuesday in the new No. 84 entry, which the team recently took delivery of.
