Aston Martin Racing will have a star-studded lineup at the wheel of its solo Aston Martin Vantage V8 in next weekend’s Rolex 24 at Daytona, the first round of the TUDOR United SportsCar Championship.

AMR’s John Gaw confirmed Wednesday that Paul Dalla Lana will be joined by factory drivers Darren Turner, Stefan Muecke, Richie Stanaway and Pedro Lamy for the twice-around-the-clock endurance classic, as the British manufacturer will be seeking top honors in the GT Le Mans category.

Dalla Lana, who was part of the team’s FIA WEC lineup last year, is expected to be the only driver who will be pulling double duty between two cars in the race. The Canadian driver will also be at the wheel of Turner Motorsport’s BMW Z4 GT3 in the GT Daytona class.

“I think we’re in the mix with everyone else,” Gaw told Sportscar365. “With these races, if you can stay on the lead lap until the last two or three hours, you’re fine. It’s different than to WEC where you’ve got to steal every second you can. I think it will be more of a conservative strategy at Daytona.”

Gaw confirmed the Rolex 24 is currently a one-off race for the team. However, a decision to contest the full Tequila Patron North American Endurance Cup could be made following Daytona.

“We’re going to take them stage by stage and let’s see how we do at Daytona,” Gaw said. “If it goes well, and the rules and regulations settle down… It’s an interesting championship. I would be surprised if we did a full season as we’re too busy for that, but there are no conflicts for the endurance races.”
