***TUDOR United SportsCar Championship drivers were greeted to a packed autograph session today. Tens of thousands of fans are on hand for today’s 100-minute street fight. Watch live coverage of the Patron Sports Car Showcase on IMSA.com, beginning at 7 p.m. ET. FOX Sports 1 will air the race on next-day delay Sunday at 4 p.m. ET.

***The race will feature a 17-car grid, which ties it as lowest in IMSA/GRAND-AM history. The 2009 ALMS race at St. Petersburg, which featured three classes was also 17 cars, whereas two classes (Prototype and GT Le Mans) are in action today.

***Wayne Taylor confirmed to Sportscar365 that his team is working with Dallara in hopes of securing a bid as a chassis manufacturer for the 2017 LMP2 regulations. Taylor’s Corvette DP is Dallara-chassied, with the Italian manufacturer also having a U.S. base in Speedway, Ind.

***National Soccer Hall of Famer Cobi Jones is a guest of Continental Tire today. The retired MLS star, who played for the LA Galaxy, recently took part in Continental’s “What’Cha Got” series, which puts MLS stars at the wheel of a Lamborghini in a time-attack competition.

***Continental Tire’s “What’Cha Got”, hosted by Scuderia Corsa driver Townsend Bell, returns for a new season in August as part of MLS programming on FOX Sports 1 and ESPN.

***Chip Ganassi Racing’s Scott Pruett, Joey Hand and their families will head to Knott’s Berry Farm for the largest Ford car show in the western U.S. tomorrow. While Scott and Joey sign autographs and do interviews, the families will enjoy a day at the park.
