Lamborghini has officially taken the wraps off its new-for-2015 Huracán GT3 racer.

The new car was unveiled at Lamborghini’s Centro Stile in Sant’Agata Bolognese by company president and CEO Stephan Winkelmann and chief test driver Giorgio Sanna.

The Italian sports car, powered by a direct-injected V10 engine, features an alu-carbon chassis, along with aerodynamics developed in collaboration with Dallara Engineering.

It will initially be campaigned by Grasser Racing team in the Blancpain Endurance Series as a two-car effort.

Fabio Babini, Adrian Zaugg and Mirko Bortolotti have been confirmed to race for Grasser, where they will be joined by GT3 Junior Program drivers Giovanni Venturini, American Andrew Palmer and Dutchman Jeroen Mul.

2014 Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo Europe and World Final winners Edoardo Piscopo and Milos Pavlovic will join Squadra Corse as the official Lamborghini Racing Team test driver.

“The first GT3 car from Lamborghini will allow talented young drivers the opportunity to contest a Lamborghini in competitions such as the challenging 2015 Blancpain Endurance Series,” Sanna said.

“This season will be an important one for us to gather experience from a category as demanding as GT3, but at the same time we are offering a competitive product to our customers.”

Additionally, JLOC is set to enter two Lamborghini Huracán GT3s in Super GT.

The Huracán GT3 is priced at 369,000 Euros ($417,000).
